As for today’s episode, I was so pleased to talk to Sydney Sweeney about her work in the new movie Christy, about boxer Christy Martin.
“We did it as an indie, and it is a female boxing film, so many of the challenges that Christy faced (in being taken seriously as an athlete), those types of movies face the same challenges at the box office,” Sydney tells me. “But we knew that her story deserved to be told.”
