If you’ve been following along with our Fall Festival Draft since the summer, you may have felt like a particular voice was missing. Sure, Christopher Rosen and I have had plenty to talk about as we challenged Chris Feil to draft the best lineup of fall festival films, digging into the Venice winners, the TIFF traffic jams and the movies that thrilled audiences the most.

But if you’re used to hearing Chris Feil talk about the Oscars, you’re probably also used to hearing his This Had Oscar Buzz co-host, Joe Reid. So today, as we wrap up our Festival Draft and declare a winner, we’re thrilled to bring Joe in at last, as we reveal our rosters and allow him to razz us about our worst picks (yes, we all made bad ones, but none worse than Chris Rosen). Joe, who was the arbiter of the “Best Venice Gondola Arrival” points category, also weighs in with his own takes on the festival buzz thus far — from why he’s still high on Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein to that way-too-spoilery Hamnet trailer. (Want more Frankenstein chatter? Keep reading for Chris Rosen’s Prestige Junkie pundits update of the best supporting actor race, where he’s bullish on a current longshot, Jacob Elordi.)

No spoilers here, but only paid After Party subscribers can listen to or watch today’s episode to find out which roster reigns supreme. A lineup of all of our picks — as well as the final scoring — is below the paywall and Chris Rosen’s pundits snapshot.

Next week, please join us live for a special Wednesday night event, as Chris Rosen and I fire up the 2003 Nancy Meyers classic Something’s Gotta Give in honor of its recently departed star Diane Keaton. We’ll start the movie on Substack Live at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, and provide our commentary along with it; the replay will be available to paid After Party subscribers on Friday. Hope to see you there!
